I wanted the least possible fitness / sleep tracker that is waterproof. I think this does the job really well. It is "basic" in its features, but as a step counter and sleep log, I think it does the job great.

I think the app is beautiful and clear. Sometimes you can start the update (sink) manually if you are very eager (read near his goal and want to know how much you have to go before you get to the sofa).

I have it in combination with the Fitbit Aria wave and then you get everything neatly and clearly collected in the Fitbit app.

I do not use it to log training. You get almost no steps at all from a strength training session and very few of cycling. I use a real sports watch for that.

I also don't get any 5 days of battery life, but have to charge twice a week.

I do not use it to get notices (from the phone), however, I have used it as an alarm clock several times when I get up early and do not want to wake the family and it has worked great.

I wanted an entry-level model that could deliver basic functions such as step counting and sleep analysis. Are generally satisfied.

+ Sits well and feels easy on the wrist, swallowing with the app works well and I appreciate that it is waterproof.
    - Poor battery life (must charge at least twice a week) and I lack some basic functionality that a smartphone can deliver (eg floors up).

The first thing I did was to take a long walk and compare my iPhone 7 to the pedometer and see how it looked. There are a few percent difference in measured distance, and the iPhone also counts on how many "floors" you have gone up. On the other hand, it differs practically nothing in number of steps. Walked a mile in mixed terrain and it was under a percentage difference in steps.

    So how's fitbit then?

    Good:
    Small and smooth
    Measures sleep

    There you go:
    No heart rate monitor.
    Can't show time.
Can only provide notifications for calls and sms (at least for iphone).

    Badly:
The battery life, I get less than the five days that are promised. This will get worse over time.
When I cook and stir in pots, the pedometer counts it as a step. Something that the phone does not do.
Proprietary charger, the device cannot be charged wirelessly or via microusb.

    + plus +
    Good size
    Good bracelet
Easy to see the bracelets diodes quickly, how much of their goal they managed

    - minus -
    Hardly approved battery life.
The app is poor and circumstantial.
Only works with notifications from 2 things, phone and "optional" message service.
Can not sync with Google Fit.

EDIT: It misses lots of steps and activities compared to my old and cheaper (Sony) who had everything except that it was ugly!

very pleased with Flex 2nd, has had it for 1 month:
    + 5-day battery life
+ Very good pedometer and sleep stats
+ Water resistant, can be washed or Dusha with the
+ Good "slim" fit, sits very comfortably on the wrist
+ Best-in-class iOS and Android app

    - No altimeter for the number of floors / day
    - No built-in GPS, but you can use the app for details
    - No heart rate monitor

All in all - perfect activity bracelet for those who want to have good statistics on the steps, distance, activity and sleep but can not recomend for fitness junkies.
