The box came with everything you need to put it together but my friend had to put it up for me as I’m not good in that department but this gadget is brilliant. Worth the money. Video quality is beautiful. You can clearly see during the day and night and the motion detection is on point. I know what is going on outside my front door and now I can see where my deliveries are. I would definitely recommend the ring door. It has made my life easy. The only bit I would say to think about really is the installation. I am lucky my friend is good at electrics but if you are not, might need to get someone to do it. Another great feature is that it works brilliantly with Alexa

Ring Video Doorbell Pro is the best thing I have bought to date. I bought it online and received it in 48hrs. I am now aware of everything that goes on outside my door even when far away from home. I don't know how I have managed till now not having a Ring Video Doorbell. If post man comes with a parcel you can talk to them no matter where you are, work men doing work while I am away and thanks to motion sensor it detects movement and starts recording. Ring Video Doorbell Pro came with everything you need to get it installed even a screwdriver. The box contained installation kit 4 different cover colours and plug in chime, installation was very easy and straightforward took me around 30 mins after studying the manual properly. Video and sound quality is astonishing crystal clear even in pitch black nights. Motion sensor is fully customisable, you can draw what part only motion should be detected. The chime is amazing can be plugged anywhere in the House and has lots of different ring melody. The Ring app is very user friendly and setup only takes minutes, I have the ring windows app install on mlthe computer and installed on Amazon Fire Stick so all I have to do is ask Alexa and I have Live view on tv. I highly recommend Ring Video Doorbell Pro. It will change everything once you have it and never go without it again.

Security for your home with real time video direct to your mobile or tablet. I think my Ring Video Doorbell (Professional) is amazing.

The picture is clear and of excellent quality with crystal clear pictures during the day and at night. I also like the fact you can set its range simply without any hassle. This means it can be adjusted to suit most situations.

I have to be honest though, it does have some negatives. Installation of the Ring Video Doorbell (Professional) needs a qualified electrician. I’m lucky I have a certified electrician as a best friend.

Installation is easier if you have an existing wired doorbell.

The second problem is it needs wiring into your fuse box and it’s connector is aimed at the States. Here it takes up two slots. There is a UK adaptor however it isn’t listed on The Ring website.

When you have wired it up to your fuse box, linking it to your smart phone or tablet is simple.

However, once wired in to the fuse box, linking it to your Wi-fi and tablet or mobile is easy. The Ring app was quick and easy to set up, with easy to follow instructions.

The Ring Video Doorbell (Professional) two way microphone linked to your mobile or tablet, is an added advantage. It means you really can talk to someone at your door even when your not in your home. This is why it really gives excellent security for your home.

I was able to use it within an hour of setting it up. I was able to tell a delivery man where to leave my order safely. This saved me time and hassle of collecting my order from the local delivery depot.

I also like the fact you can change the push-bell surrounds . This means your Ring Video Doorbell (Professional) will compliment any door furniture.

Overall it’s a 9 out of 10 from me, only missing out of the perfect 10 because of the installation difficulties.

I bought the ring Pro as me and my wife work and as we were rarely home during the day, so thought this would give us peace of mind, with parcels being delivered and keeping an eye on any unwanted visitors. So the doorbell came and was well packaged. I liked the fact that they provided you with different facias to match your door. I also liked the fact that they provided you with a transformer and a screwdriver so I didn't have to raid my toolbox looking for the correct screwdrivers. The transformer was easy enough to fit and it was just a case of taking of the old door bell and fitting the new 1, took me around half an hour all in. I wouldn't advise doing this yourself unless you feel competent with electrics. Once all wired up it was pretty straight forward I downloaded the app and went through the screens connected it to the app and we was good to go. Ring give you a 30 day free trial and then after it is £25 for the year, you can use the doorbell without the subscription but you won't be able to view the events. The video quality is superb and the night mode is better then I expected, although sometimes it takes a while to load up the doorbell on the app and by then the person ringing has walked off. Also not sure why but on my wife's phone if she tries to talk through the app there is alot of static not sure why. I like the fact that you can set up motion zones and set timers for when you want to be alerted to any motion, I currently have it set off from 11pm to 8am, the events still record but we do not get the notifications, this is good as you do not get disturbed at night when cats and foxes walk by. The motion sensor is really good, it senses shadows and car lights, which is good if anyone maybe lurking around. Overall I think it was a good buy, and for the peace of mind it gives us, you cannot put a price on that, when I am out and my wife is home alone, she can see who knocks on the door before opening so she feels safe. It is a really good quality product, well built and as it is hard wired you do not have to charge it like the other versions. My old doorbell was hardwired which made the installation easier, you may wish to factor this in as it may cost more then just replacing the doorbell and transformer.

I decided to add some security to my home as being a single mum I needed to add some reassurance to the welfare of myself and my children.
After looking at all my options I decided that the ring doorbell pro was going to be worth paying the extra money for .
My order was placed late on in the evening from Amazon and my order arrived the very next morning which was brilliant. The package arrived in perfect condition then on opening the package I could see all the parts in the box this included a special screwdriver and the correct size drill bit which was fantastic it also included a 24v transformer this item had to be hardwired to the main consumer box in place of your existing doorbell transformer ( if you had one fitted ) I didn’t so I had to start from scratch I made a phone call to an electrician and was quoted £100/150 pound to install ! so I decided to do some research for a plug in transformer that carried 24v after looking on YouTube I found that most people were opting for the plug in transformer route as it worked out easier and cheaper than getting an electrian.
I started to search amazon and the best option was the dantech 652 transformer £33 although it was an extra outlay for me as I know nothing about electrics it was by far the easiest option my ring doorbell pro was up and running in 20 mins what a fantastic picture quality I receive on my phone the installation and app download was very easy to do. I now feel so much safer and feel secure in my home knowing I don’t have to answer the door without knowing who is there . When I am out and I get an alert on my phone the picture quality is crystal clear and being able to communicate with the person can be a bit tricky at times if it is a windy day as this will affect the communication and ring should definitley be looking at replacing the hard wired 24v transformer to a 3 pin plug in this way its less cost effective after paying out for the bell as not many uk people have a hardwired doorbell

The ring doorbell Pro has been a godsend, in the box you get 4xtra faceplates in black dark brown cream and dark grey you also get the security tool to fit the doorbell which also makes it harder to steal. You will need an electrician to fit the doorbell as it is hardwired but once fitted it is a brilliant piece of kit. Since having the ring doorbell pro fitted it is saved us both travelling expenses and time from not having to go and pick up parcels from the royal mail sorting office as when we've been out we have been able to communicate with whoever is at the door and give them instructions on where to leave are parcels. The picture quality on the run ring doorbell Pro is excellent you can see clearly during the day but it also picks up images fantastic during the night so it's also perfect for security purposes. I love that you can choose from quite a few chimes and that you can alter the viewing angle of the camera from the app. The only negative point is that it picks up every little movement and sends a notification to my phone even if the movement was only a cat, we have set it to only recognise people but it's still picks up other movement. Overall though I'd say it's a brilliant piece of kit that is money well spent.

Feeling late to the ‘Ring Doorbell party’ I was really excited to review this product. When the shiny box arrived it all looked very modern and I couldn’t wait to get going. As advised you must already have a wired doorbell to use this product. Once installed the technical set up was pretty simple and there’s sign posts to help everywhere you look.
Positive Stuff: I’m loving having a constant set of eyes on the front of my house when I’m away.
Its really handy for convincing drivers to leave packages in a safe place (apart from when they have there earphones in!)
Due to being wired in there’s no fussy batteries to charge and the picture quality is brilliant day and night.

Negative stuff: despite being able to set the catchment activity area (to tinkle for activity) I couldn’t get it right which drove hubby mad when the bells were ringing and no one was there.

You start with a free 30 day access to anything recorded by your doorbell = brilliant. Once this trial expires there is a subscription payment = not so brilliant.
I would definitely recommend this doorbell especially for older relatives it’s great for peace of mind.

I regularly work from home and my home office is on the first floor. That means everytime someone rings a bell, I need to rush down and more often that not; there are cold callers or people for whom I’d rather not open door. Our house being near the main road doesn’t help. Needless to say, I got fascinated by the idea of having a system where I could see on my mobile (irrespective of wherever I am) and then decide to respond. Ring Pro 2 fitted the bill, and on paper, had all the credentials to be a successful proposition.
So, I decided to take the plunge and buy it. Delivery was super fast, and when you get the whole package, you start instantly admiring the product : very similar to getting a new iPhone : brilliant packaging, bright colors and a product that’s very sturdy and cool to look at. All the bits that come along with are neatly and cleverly tucked into packaging : there is a screwdriver, chime, power plugs for regions, stuff required to drill and a RCB. – which you need to hook this bell into so there is uninterrupted power. That’s right : no need to buy batteries. But thats where there are concerns : You see I don’t have a hard wired bell, we’ve had the Bluetooth/wireless ones so I can carry chime wherever in house. So, I went to help on their manuals as well as online on forums and it seems Ring haven’t paid a lot of attention to what a lot of customers are saying.
The buying process is easy, product is great; so why mess up by not having an easy installation solution. Simple answer is to provide a power adaptor that plugs into a power socket and then attaches to the back of this bell so that we don’t have to get an electrician to work out this stuff. So, I ended up buying that power adaptor myself : a bit of disappointment. Next, the App is easy to manoeuvre and you can install Ring Pro 2 in no time. Then you have to install the Chime (or bell) which comes in the package and it is plugged into power socket (no fuss there). Mine was faulty, so had to spend a lot of time with customer care (which was simply brilliant) to get it replaced. Meanwhile, they hold your credit card details to ensure you are going to return their defective bell. The new bell took some time to be delivered, but within about 2 weeks of me getting the Ring Pro 2, I was now able to leverage it.
It’s a good product, though I must admit sometimes there is a lag between when someone presses the bell and by the time video pops up. For me, that’s fine : because that still saves me from opening the door to someone who I don’t want to. The ability to converse with the person on your door even when you are not at home really is great : especially when a delivery courier can be handed instructions on where to leave that package you were waiting for. Ring Pro 2 also comes with various colored skins on the doorbell, which is really good and matches contours plus looks cool. The other thing to also note is everytime there is a motion (in the area that you have set), the App creates a video and stores it. Now, there is a 1 month trial of keeping these videos after which there is a cost to do that. So, it means after 1 month, if you don’t subscribe to this option, you only see who is at your door at that time rather than have the ability to come back home in evening and then go through who all rang your doorbell. The night vision on the Doorbell is simply handy, and the quality of video is not compromised.
If I go back in time, I would rather chose the Ring Video doorbell 2 than Pro 2 simply because it gives me the ability to not hardwire : perhaps someone was trying to find solution to a problem that wasn't there. This is unless Ring understands customers like me and give us an option to be able to simply fix our doorbell without any electrician help. That is when appeal of a great product possibly limited due to installation issues can be enhanced.

So I had debated buying the Ring Doorbell for ages and finally gave it it chance and purchased one a couple of months ago. Since buying the Ring Doorbell Pro I can honestly say I’m very pleased with it thus far. Setup of it was easy enough although WiFi can be temperamental at times it has made me feel so much more secure in my home. The good quality video allows me to see who is coming and going at the front of the house and now it’s easy to talk to people at the front door if we are not in. The quality of speaker could be better but otherwise impressed with this product.

I have upgraded from the Hikvision doorbell and I've had the Ring Pro for about a month now.
Installation was easy enough as I already had the wiring done for the Hikvision. You will need to get this done by an electrician the first time around.
The camera quality is very good during the day, however I wasn't too happy with the night vision, so I installed a floodlight with a sensible PIR sensor to avoid false motions from wind, trees and pets.
The motion detection feature is a must have as it alerts you when the postman, milkman or anyone else has been around who didn't actually press the doorbell.
When someone presses the doorbell I get an incoming call alert on my phone from the Ring app. Upon answering you will get a one way video call where you can see and speak to the person who is at your doorsetep. This is extremely useful if you have a delivery but you want it left with a neighbor or a safe place or if you want to make it look like your home and your not and just tell people to go away.
I have removed one star for value simply because this device is not a one off cost, to get and keep most of the features will cost a monthly subscription, which in my opinion is over priced. Hopefully now that Amazon has bought Ring they will fix this to a more reasonable level.
Overall, I would recommend a wired smart doorbell over a battery one, as it will allow you to go away for extended periods of time and they don't play up when the temperature drops. Of the wired doorbells I've had, Ring is definitely the best in terms of the app features, ease of use and video quality.

I have been debating buying one of these for a long time and I am glad I did as the peace of mind in having it is priceless. It looks good and is not as bulky as the other models of this doorbell, the setup instructions are very clear and installing the ring pro was fairly simple, I am not an electrician but the guide on the video link is very clear, a few helpful tools are also included in the box. The motion detector is great and it lets me know if someone is on my drive even if they have not rung the doorbell. The 2 way communication is clear and the picture is of a very high quality, for security and for never missing a delivery which particularly pleases the wife so it is a must have! I would and have recommend it to my family and friends!

From reading other reviews it seems that the Ring Doorbell is not perfect for every household. We are lucky in that we have been using the Ring Video Pro for a few months now and although it's not perfect for actually taking a call when someone presses the bell (issues with the wifi makes it crackly), it is working out well for us. The live view works so well, I love that we can check on what is going on outside the house at any time of the day. My favourite things are that I can see came by the house when I was out by viewing back on videos, my family can see who is leaving and arriving home safely, it looks good and we feel safer and more protected by having it. It does need to be installed by a professional, we didn't dare try on our own. The negatives are that it has not been great for picking up rings when I'm not home, it has not been clear at all which is a big shame. The motion sensor can pick up headlights although you can change the sensitivity of this, and there is a monthly fee for saving the videos which is annoying although not super expensive. I do feel more protected by having this in our house and hope that the wifi situation will get better and I will be able to take the 'calls' soon. It's hard to say whether the Ring doorbell will be good for you or not, unfortunately you need to install it to find out!

    Ring door bell pro.
After using Ring products for a number of years now, starting off with the first addition and then moving onto the pro has show me that Ring have been making a huge amount of progress. Picture quality is superb and the audio works really well.

The only Cons I've come across are the Wi-Fi signal seems to be a little problematic at times and when speaking to people remotely I often find I'm having to shout however this could be down to my phones internet connection. OtherwiseI would highly recommend this product.

Ring video doorbell has surpassed my expectations! It was easy to install, the app is amazing and it looks great too!
I find it really handy being able to answer the bell when I’m not in and is a good deterrent for opportunists. I also love the way it stores days worth of fottage and has very sharp footage in the dark.
All in all an excellent doorbell.
