Good sound, but .. Strange that the internal dialogue within Sony does not work. These handsets cannot be connected to a PS5. :)

I love the fit, either electr0 has giant ears or he has reviewed the wrong lure. Definitely over-ear

They are very good sound and really good noise reduction.

I have a colleague who has the XM3 and we could see that the XM4 is much less plastic than the previous variant.

The people I talk to on the phone say that I can hear clearly, one day they blew a lot and then they got sick. However, I pulled a hood over my head and the headphones and the problem disappeared.

I have had to return them due to a bug, I do not think all XM4s have the problem, then you would have heard more about it. But when you connect them to a PC with Windows 10, there is a constant robot sound. For Andriod and Linux they work perfectly but not Windows 10. This means that I can not use them at work, I can not have them at home when I "discord" with friends, no games. The only thing I can have them for is talking on the phone and listening to music from there.

So, why do I think they are not just mine that is wrong?
Because I found many more who have exactly the same problem. But of the other reviewers from both Prisjakt and many others, not everyone seems to have the problem.

You who read this may think that, they are the area that does it, a lot of shit in the air so to speak. The thing is, as I said, I have a colleague who has XM3s and when we connect those headphones to my computer, the problem is not there.

Fantastic tricks but some / all? bugs with windows 10.

Good sound and noise reduction, but lousy user interface and Bluetooth technology compared to eg Bose. Being connected to a Mac / iPhone at the same time only creates curls (many people write the same thing online) and no voice guide on WHAT you are connected to, etc. Here sound / noise reduction is not worth the money compared to Bose.

Recently changed from the original MDR-1000X to these. Of course, these have many more features, but there are a few things I reacted negatively to:

    1. I had hoped that these would feel a little more spacious for the ears, but unfortunately I do not experience it that way. They also push a little more on the head than the MDR-1000X, so at that point I miss my old headphones. But it still works well with glasses and it does not start to chafe or sore. Edit: After a few weeks, this is not something I think about anymore. Feels good!

    2. The material on the original covers was fake clothes. Here it is some kind of plastic with a little velvet feel. On the one hand, I think it's less pleasant to hold on to and it does not feel as durable. I'm afraid it's some kind of rubber that will wear off or scratch over time. Hope I'm wrong.

    3. The ambient sound mode is worse on these than on the original, I think. Admittedly, it may make less noise here, but the sound around the world will not be as clear either. In fact, it is sometimes difficult to hear the difference between the different modes. With my old lures you could have a very subdued conversation and still hear clearly what both parties said. Hope they can improve this with a software update.

    4. The sound is amazing. I have no EQ and the sound is very nice with clear details / treble and good pressure in the bass without going to exaggeration. Anyone who likes a completely neutral sound image probably needs to modify the EQ.

    5. The handling has some real improvements: The setting options in the app, buttons that are easier to find and easier to use, USB-C allows you to use a charger for everything.

Have been using the headphones for a few weeks now.
I have to say that I am really happy!

Have a pair of Apple Airpods Pro with and anc-n in them I have to say is a bit better as I hear a little more noise in the WH-1000XM4, but it is marginal and mostly if you are going to chase differences.

The sound is really nice I mainly listen to rock and electronic music.

And then to what was among the most important for me, to be able to connect two devices at the same time.
In my case it is a newer Lenovo X1 with Windows 10 and I must say that the problems that others seem to have I have not encountered.
I do not know if it can have what kind of bluetooth chip is in the computer, but I have not reduced sound quality when I run team calls and it is possible to use the touch controls to raise and pause the music.

The only thing that bothers me a little is that the headphones for some reason do not take my settings I make in the app. For example. if I set them not to disable noise reduction when I talk, etc. But it could just as easily be me doing something wrong.

Then maybe the price is a bit high, but it is also a very good nap so then it may cost a penny.

Remember not to wear them in light rain or snowfall or when you are sweaty, according to Sony's website. No running headphones in other words.

Very good sound in the headphones! Hear no difference with ANC on / off which is a big plus. The microphone is better than I expected, sounds good on both tele and data (teams). Super happy!

Excellent noise reduction, good sound. I'm not an audiophile so I do not have much to say about the sound.

For me, however, it works lousy to connect the headphones to both computer (Win10) and phone (Android). Switching the device whose sound is to be heard does not work at all. That means I have to go into the settings and disconnect the headphones. After that, it does not start working by itself in the phone, but I need to go into the headphone app and check the music.

50/50 when the computer is switched on, the sound becomes awful.

Personally, I think the headphones push too hard against the skull around the ears.

These are the best in their class. I use them when I work from home now connected to both my laptop and mobile. It has the function of being able to have two bluetooth connected to it at the same time. Works really well and is a very practical feature for me.
I was out for lunch time on a busy street and talked in them a conversation with a colleague. He said he heard me very well and without any problems. This is really a big difference from the previous Sony WH-1000XM3 which had problems with outdoor calls. But Sony has fixed it! Excellent Sony!

I highly recommend these headphones. World class simply!

IF these fit your ears AND you intend to wear them just to listen, they are great. Class-leading noise reduction and rich sound. In that case, they are probably worth a rating of 5/5.

To me, they did not fit for two reasons:
    1. There is too little space (in the depths) for my ears. The hard inside measure takes in the ears. Not that it hurts, but it's uncomfortable. However, there is slightly more space in these than in the previous version (XM3).
    2. I had intended to have them as office snoopers with connection to telephone + computer and be able to take calls from the telephone and have computer meetings with them. The microphone works OK, but not much more. But these are not made for computer meetings. Among other things, it was not possible to change the volume with the touch control on the handset when I ran computer meetings. Why I do not understand. The small print paper that comes with the headphones (not on the product website) states: "This unit supports normal incoming calls only. Calling apps for smartphones and computers are not supported." So such use one can not expect Sony to care.

Another annoying thing: You can set whether the headphones should turn off if you take them off, but you can not set how long they should wait before turning them off. I guess it takes 5-10 minutes and I think it's way too short a time. I would have liked to set it to 1 or a couple of hours so that you can take them off for a while and then start using them again immediately during short breaks, but still protect against forgetting to turn them off when you go home for the day. But it is (currently) not possible to achieve.

Has returned the headphones on open purchase. Tip: Be sure to buy from someone who offers it so you get the chance to test for yourself if they meet your usage and ears.

Good sound and okay NC but almost everyone I had conversations with via these complained that it was difficult to hear what I was saying. There may not be any handsets that are made for calls but I had hoped to be able to have these for that as well. Will return.

Comes from Sennheiser Momentum 2 wireless, which I was pretty happy with.

My experiences are a comparison to my old headphones and these headphones are better at basically everything, so I am very happy!

+ Better sound, especially the bass is more prominent and clear even at low volume.
+ Better ANC and with different modes.
However, have turned off that the headphones automatically detect, because it was just annoying. Uses the manual button on the cover for that instead.
+ Better comfort (larger covers that fit my ears better and lighter weight).
+ Better functions and settings via app.
    + Better sound when dialing.
+ Higher output volume (does not need to have as high volume setting on Bluetooth).
The "Speak-in-chat" function works really well (albeit a strange name for the function). Usually still take off the headphones, because it feels more polite to the person you are talking to.
+ Easy to control volume and play / pause by dragging up / down and double-pressing on the outside of the right cover.

The only negative, which I think Sennheiser was better at, is the feeling of quality and choice of material. Sony headphones feel more plastic and fluffy.

Tried the predecessor XM3 in store before I decided on these.
Depending on the budget and needs, I think just like another reviewer says that the XM3 is good enough, as the difference between them does not seem to be that big anyway.

PS. Just saw the review above which is basically the same as mine ... Funny coincidence, but I can only agree and confirm the same experience.

Time to exchange my old momentum 2 wireless for something new and it got to be the xm4s. Compare with the momentum, they are better in all respects, nicer, better ANC, better sound, easy to fold and lots of new fun features.

+ Really good sound, think they have better resolution compared to momentum and much more clearly defined bass. Have not used the eq, do not think it is needed.
+ I especially like speak to chat, which mutes sound and ANC when you start talking. Works surprisingly well in an office environment (does not work at all when driving with the grass trimmer at home 😊).
+ Good range with BT 5, I can put my mobile in one place and walk around our whole house (150m2) without the sound hooking or other problems.
+ conversation sounds work well, much better than my momentum, but they were on the other hand very bad, people I talk to seem to think the sound is good. Talked a lot in noisy environments and have had some problems
+ good app with many features
+ Comfortable to wear even with glasses

-Do not get 990kbps against my galaxy s20, it just hacks all the time. 660 is max. Do not know where the fault lies.
-Do not really understand the point of the adapted ANC depending on the environment, as soon as I take a few steps, it dampens the ANC, which is disturbing. Has turned off that feature.
-Doesn't it seem possible to use the headphones when they are charging? Do not understand why it should not work.

Taken together, they are worth the full pot, I think. Really good lures.

Many functions but not particularly impressed by the ANC as the xm4s' ANC is equivalent to the xm3s. Buy Xm3 if you do not absolutely need multipoint Bluetooth.

Good sound and BT multipoint is a nice to have feature. But the microphone is fairly bad. If you go into a discord room the headphones go into headphone mode essentially downgrading the music you hear just so you can talk with others. In the end they dont hear you that great either as the microphone is not that good. It picks up wind just by walking around.
