I initially struggled with the app to get the wifi connection with the printer. But once this was picked up, I was able to print directly from my Apple phone with no more issues. The rest of the family also had issues and we had to restart the printer every time someone tried to send a printing job to the printer. After those initial setting up issues, it has worked perfectly. The size is ok and doesn’t take too much space in the room and fit easily under the desk. The print quality is ok as long as you use a good quality paper. We started with some low-quality ones and the paper came out quite wet. Overall, the printer does what we need for home printing and I found the way of setting up and ordering ink through the app very simple and affordable.

Love how lightweight and compact this printer is as we don't have alot of space. I also love how easy it is to set up and use. From phone or laptop the whole process has been easy

I have just unpacked and set this up. It is compact, neat and lightweight. I’m not great at setting up new technology so it took me a bit of faffing around, and help when I had to download the software from my daughter. The app was ok, but I seemed to have to go from place to place for guidance on how to set it up - may be my fault as I never find these things easy . Initially it wouldn’t connect to Bluetooth even though devices were right next to each other. Eventually got there and it has printed a few pages and they look fine. From now on hopefully it will be more straightforward now that it’s up and running. I’ve tried to register for the instant ink deal which sounds good, but I’ve tried a number of times and can’t get it to work, and the support instructions are confusing. I hope to succeed soon!

This is a great printer and good value for money.

It comes with everything you need in the box - manual and printer cartridges. It’s very easy to unbox and set up.
Using a laptop it is extremely easy to connect. There is also the option to print direct from phones or iPads via and app. This is a little more tricky but still fairly easy to do.
The print quality is great and we have had no issues so far.
The printer fits great on my desk in my new home office.

I have needed a new printer for a while now and HP was my first choice for printers as I have always had a great experience when it comes to their laptops. It is my very first wireless printer and I was very impressed with the initial ease of setting up. The only issue I have found is the printing via email. On two occasions I have emailed the addressed assigned and it has not remotely printed, this element of printing is the only area I found a little more tricky to figure out. This printer is good for everyday home use, its not necessarily super fast but gets the job done. I like the wireless printing especially from my phone in range makes it simple and easy to use. Noise is minimal when printing. The ink quality is pretty standard I imagine different series may provide a deeper richer print.

I'm loving my new HP printer! I opened the box, and everything was packed well, and it came with these little illustrated instructions that were really easy to follow. I downloaded HP smart as directed, which took me through how to set up the printer in a quick and easy way. From out of the box to printing took roughly 15 minutes, so well explained and easy to do, and the print quality is great! I also love that it is part of the Instant Ink set up, so the printer orders the ink when its low, so that you don't have to go out and buy ink! It saves you money, you don't have to remember to buy it, and it doesn't interrupt your printing! Its also really easy to change the ink too, which is fantastic!

On first unpacking the printer it looked a great size and style.
We have placed it in my sons room as he has just started secondary school. Being wireless we can put it on a shelf accross the room from the PC, which has saved lots of room on the desk.
I was really impressed that there is an HP app. This made set up super easy, who needs an IT department?!
The app was super helpful when we had issues on the PC the other day, as we could continue printing via the mobile phone.
We have also signed up to get the ink cartridges sent through when needed.
All round I'm super impressed with this printer so far.

Printer itself is sleek and lightweight, would look great on any desk.

The box contains a power cable, the printer, 2 ink cartridges and the manuals.

Got it unboxed and plugged in the next was connecting to the network. This was not straightforward,it involved downloading an app to your phone and/or laptop - there didn't seem to be a direct (or not an obvious way) to connect without this app. I hate extraneous apps on my phone so this was an immediate dislike for me.

Got the app installed and everything seemed to be good to go - now it was time to print something and this is where it all went wrong.

Nothing I sent to print from my phone or my laptop would print, it appeared in the print queue and the printer would burst into life for about 2 seconds and then would stop, it never gave any error but it never printed.

After about 15 minutes and countless attempts I actually ended up getting my own printer cable (there's not one supplied) and hard wiring the printer to the laptop in the hope that this would be more successful.

Again this took several attempts and wasn't the easiest but we did manage to get a page to print eventually (through the cabled connection, we've still not printed anything from my phone or via WiFi)

I think at the very least a cable for hard wiring should be supplied with the printer.

Removed from box and set up the HP printer , it was easy to open and simple to set up, instruction was provided by email as well. The ink slots in the front for easy access. All the buttons are simple enough to understand located on the top left hand . The booklets provided are useful. The app was easy to download and to connect the printer to my wi fi network mobiles and laptops . It automatically printed some instructions for testing the print and photocopying features to calibrated self. The product is not to big and lightweight and easy to move around. The print quality is very good and is super easy to use for mobile printing. HP provided subscription for inks what is relevant to all users started from 15 pages per month and go up for right small amount like 1,99 or 2.99 up to few pounds for 500 pages . one hard think is not wake up on wifi I need to restart manual so is not right and why do I need wi fi printer if need to be touch to working fine ???

When I unpacked the printer I was pleasantly surprised by the minimal packaging - it's a pleasure to see s company trying to be more eco- friendly. I loved the design of the printer, for a multi- functional printer it has a very tactile and rounded design which is a real treat - a lot of thought has gone into the aesthetic detailing of this printer, which is great for those working at home, so top Mark's for that! It was really easy to remove the very small pieces of internal packaging, loading the print cartridges was super easy, thumbs up for the sticker to show how to insert the cartridges. One small niggle was getting the power cable inserted, took a bit of wiggling to get it properly seated. Downloaded the HP Smart App, it was easy to get started but for people unfamiliar with setting up this kind of equipment maybe a few more instructions would be helpful. It was super simple to get the printer added, I tried out printing text and pictures. The print quality is fantastic, its fast and quiet. I was really impressed with the quality of the prints and how easy the app is to use, but that wasnt it all. I then tried copying and scanning- just OMG! copying is super simple. Scanning you can run from your phone, you can even take a picture of something, scan it and share it via various methods/apps. I will be using this function a lot. Over all I was pretty blown away by the quality of the printer, the design aesthetic, its quiet function, all the things you can do, boxed up in this medium sized printer. I'd say it's a hit HP. Super pleased and excited by this machine.

When I received my printer it was well packaged & I couldn't wait to get started with it. It was so easy to set up & use, it was up & running in a few minutes . The trickiest bit was getting the tape off the machine itself. I wanted a more compact all-in-one printer as it was to go in my utility cupboard & it fits perfectly. The 2720 is small in size but don't let that put you off ,the quality of the machine is second to none. It's print quality is superb whether it be black & white or colour, with my previous printers I had to purchase separate colour cartridges but I was pleasantly surprised as with this HP one the colour cartridge is a tri colour one. Not seen these before so I was wondering how good it would be but I cannot complain at all the print quality is great. If you are looking for a more compact all-in-one printer I would say give the HP 2720 a go as you will not be disappointed & the price is great too

Great connectivity, compatible with all my devices, and I can print from anywhere! Easy set up, and fully controllable from the app. I'm pretty sure I could print anything from anything from anywhere with this printer!

As a printer though, it's average. It's quick enough, and quiet enough, but it has a few drawbacks. The ink cartridges are fiddly to change, and being an inkjet they need aligning every so often (within two pages in my experience), and the paper tray is quite limited in size, so doesn't take anything bigger than A4 (even C4 envelopes, which is a pain).

The instant ink idea is a good one, essentially turning your printer into a printing subscription. For a monthly fee, you get a set number of prints, and so HP will send you sufficient ink so you never run out. Once you've exceeded your included prints, they're quite expensive, at 10p a page, but £1.99 gets you the equivalent of a £13-ish cartridge, so it's not a bad deal. Given that this printer is probably best for very occasional printing though, I think instant ink would be better placed on another model.

Unboxing the HP DeskJet All-In-1 printer was a pleasure, Its nice to see that you have everything you need in the box to start to print after the initial setup . It comes with an instruction manual, and 1 black and white and 1 colour cartridge which is so simple to set up. You download the HP printer Smart app, pair with your WiFi and smartphone and your ready to start the initial setup process which is easy, and comes with a step by step guide. The Print quality is great for a home Printer , it can print loads of different sizes and make real photos using the photographic paper from the HP Store. The 2720 model is all in 1 as it does not only print it Scans and Copies . You can even connect using USB plug , or Bluetooth . I like that you can use the app to change setting ie paper size, switch to quiet mode and so much more to explore yet. Overall as far a Home printer i rate this highly as the price is really reasonable and i think its clever, fast and innovative. I love the side panel digital display where you can see if its connected to WiFi , how many pages etc but all can be done using the app also . The app pairs with the printer and works well, still more to explore but i would definitely recommended this printer to anyone wanting a fair priced good specification, with many features then the #HP 2720 is the printer i would recommend

I received this product as part of a review program in return for an unbiased review. It is great Printer. Once you know how to set the paper to print. Otherwise it is fantastic and easy to set up. No issues with WIFI Setting. The app is so easy to install and use. Ink is fantastic as when you print anything. It looks so good and professional when printed.

I purchased the HP DeskJet 2720 as a home printer now that we find ourselves indefinitely working from home for the foreseeable! Couldn't wait to set it up and try it out! It was so easy to set up and I'm delighted with the excellent print quality plus the fact there is a scan function! I have not yet printed photographs but I have my photo paper at the read! Perfect home printer if you find you need this for general printing - it wouldn't work for full business use but for the home user it is a fab little purchase. The print cartridges don't last forever but they give you a decent run of printing and it is so easy to sign up to HP Instant Ink (don't miss out on your free trial from them when you first get your printer) which means you will never run out of ink or have to make a last minute dash to buy more. The Instant Ink concept is very intuitive - you choose your package level and the order is automatically placed when your ink supplies run low - what a godsend! Whilst I would not recommend the DeskJet 2720 as a business printer for large quantities of daily printing, it is remarkably professional and gives quality use for a home printer. I would recommend!

The HP Deskjet 2720 is an entry level inkjet printer. The recommended monthly page volume is 50-100 sheets but can print up to 1000 pages. I have not used anywhere near this amount!
It is reasonably compact with clean white plastic case making it lightweight but surprisingly sturdy. It will take approximately 60 sheets of paper which is stored vertically at the back of the machine and the output tray conveniently clips closed when not being used. It has manual duplex copying which is a useful feature and as well as printing documents will scan and copy. It does not claim to be photo quality but I was surprised by the detail of the photos I have printed and find them very acceptable.

It connects with dual band wi-fi (2.4 GHz or 5.0 GHz) or blutooth 4.2. It connects via the HP smart app and also Apple Airprint. I have an Android phone so connected via the HP Smart app. Once downloaded, follow the straightforward instructions. There is also a USB port for wired connection.

My machine offered a free trial of HP Instant ink, which I have taken up. The first cartridges arrived well within the date specified but not next day. However, once signed up the machine automatically sends out for the next cartridge well before the existing has been exhausted. You pay a monthly subscription for a set amount of copies and are charged extra per 10 sheets if you exceed this. Useful if you use your printer on a regular basis and do not vary too much on your print run. If there are any unused a limited but generous amount are transferred over to the next month.

The machine is quite noisy when printing and the output tray design could be improved as it needs a good tug to set it in place.

I am happy with the document quality I have printed out so far. Small, script type fonts always struggle a bit on any inkjet printer I use and this is no different. I have not tried printing on heavyweight quality paper, only supermarket 75g weight.

I have had to contact HP support as I had a problem printing a particular document. I tried the virtual assistant and question & answer page but in the end I generated a case number and phoned them. I found the customer assistant very patient, professional, knowledgeable and friendly and wished I had used the phone option sooner. HP do try to get you to solve the problem yourself rather than direct you easily to phone support and I spent too much time trying things that did not work. The support agent logged into my computer but did not take control. Instead they showed me how to solve the problem and the solution was reinforced by doing it myself under supervision.

To summarise, this is a great printer for the home or occasional printing in a small office. It is easy to use, once set up and can be accessed by a computer, phone or tablet with the option to remote print via email. If you want to print booklets, lots of photos or long job runs then I would suggest you upgrade to another HP machine because the customer support I received was excellent and this is worth its weight in gold.
