    Finally bought one directly from NetOnNet after my advance bookings were moved forward a lot of times.

    Had a bit of a problem playing (1440p) on a 1700x as it got too tired to load the GPU when loaded on five cores or more. It could be at 75% usage. 5800x is by no means a bottleneck for GTX 1080 which nowadays is always heating at 97-99%.

    On an NH-U12S I reach about 4.84 GHz at games and 73C. At all cores I reach 4.45-4.55 GHz and 90C within 30 seconds.

    * Update 2021-02 *
    With a single fan variant on NH-D14, the values went down to 4.69 Ghz 72C and 4.52 GHz and 83C, respectively. This was with the new BIOS several months later.

    A good choice if you want the absolute highest possible performance in games and also feel future-proof for many years to come.

    Drive with mobo ASUS Rog Strix X570 gaming-F and an ASUS TUF 3080 and 32Gb Hyper X 3600Mhz memories (dual rank). Cools with a Noctua 15 NH-D15 in a maxi tower from Fractal Design. Compared to my old Intel 4790K overclocked to 4.6Ghz, I get about twice as many FPS with 5800X in 1440p with maximum settings. Easily and stably overclocked to 4.5Ghz.

    It is said that Ryzen is sensitive to what you have for memories. Tried to set the memories to 2400Mhz and the difference was about 2% in 1440p with maximum settings in the 2-3 games I tested. It does not seem worthwhile to spend a lot of money on memories if you do not run low settings in 1080p, ie.

    Have no problems with the temperature. Is around 40 in idle and max 70 during games (overclocked to 4.5Ghz). Got it up to about 85 degrees in prime95 and then it was overclocked to 4.3 or 4.5 Ghz.

    Have not tried it for any other demanding applications.

    Fast on everything!

    Problems with stability and USB lose the B550 connector (Both in Windows and Linux).
    Do not know if the main problem is due to; motherboard drivers or CPU. Many people seem to have the same problem. https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/l6gfjw/warning_x570b550_issues_with_usb_when_pcie_gen_4/

    Big step forward by AMD, again.
    The games flow better after only changing the CPU and nothing else.
    Varying performance at times but my motherboard only has a BETA bios so far.
